This is a quick look at the new trash management features in Joomla 1.6.

Just like in Joomla 1.5, you can send content to the trash by selecting from the list and clicking the Trash button in the toolbar.  In Joomla 1.6 this has been expanded to include all content, not just articles and menus.

To permenantly remove content from the trash, you need to set the state filter to "Trash".  The Trash button in the toolbar will then change to Empty Trash.  From here you can select content in the trash and then clicking the Empty Trash button will delete them forever.  This provides a reasonable degree of safety against accidently deleting your content.
